Cycling and Walking Routes

Village Loops

In the immediate area, there are two village loops you can walk. The *Haarbiger Kuierpad* (7 km) passes by B&B Sagenland. The other route, the *Kroamschudpad*, goes through Mariaparochie and along the edge of Almelo (this route is 5 km). You can also combine the routes.

Twentepad

B&B Sagenland is located at the start of the *Twentepad*, a beautiful long-distance walking route of 92 km through Northeast Twente. This route takes you past the most scenic spots in the region, such as *Landgoed Schultenwolde*, the *Hondeven*, and various Twente villages.

The Monnikenspoor

This is a multi-day walk from Oldenzaal to Vollenhove. The route is approximately 150 km long and passes through Tubbergen (about 6 km from Tubbergen to B&B Sagenland), Mariënberg, Ommen, Dalfsen, Zwolle, Hasselt, and ends in Vollenhove.

Cycling Node Network

Northeast Twente has an excellent cycling node network. From B&B Sagenland, you can easily follow various routes, ranging from short trips in the immediate area to longer routes along the German border. Bicycles are available for rent at B&B Sagenland, so you can set off right away.

Arthuur Routes

We are part of the *Arthuur Routes*, cycling and walking routes with stories. The route *”Arthuur, Wolbaron van Twente”* passes by B&B Sagenland, and we are also on the regional produce route. Along the routes, you’ll find listening spots where you can hear the stories. The route booklets and story booklets are available for free at our B&B.
